AI-MD recently completed the 2024 Techstars cohort, led by CEO and Co-founder Emma Tolsdorf, CTO Radha Chitta, and COO Ashley Boggs.  Our C-team participated in thirteen weeks of dynamic programming, Mentor Madness Week, and coast to coast Investor Roadshows, traveling from Columbus, Ohio to New York City, then to San Francisco and our  new Palo Alto office, to attend the annual Plug and Play conference.

Special thanks goes to the Techstars team, managed by Tim Grace, Gabby Rudd and Autumn Hankinson, and the many mentors who poured their time and attention into our team and product development, including Bill Gaussa of North Coast Innovation Advisors, Jason Abromaitis, and Will Eadie of Workjam.

Our leadership team received ongoing coaching from our esteemed mentors helping us to navigate and master the art of building momentum, establishing the building blocks for success in sales, fundraising, team building and much more.

This was the second cohort to finish at The Ohio State University (OH-IO), where mission-driven founders worked on problems uniquely suited to the exceptional resources available to them to address big global issues in healthcare, alternative energy, automotive, agriculture, AI and commerce. We are honored to have been part of this exceptional 2024 cohort of founders, which included innovative companies such as:

  • 409.ai: Simplifying 409A valuations.
  • Arbizal: AI-powered APIs for healthcare data.
  • Cuvris Technologies: AI-driven revenue optimization for dental practices.
  • Dependbuild: AI risk management for infrastructure projects.
  • Engyne: AI-powered SaaS inbound marketing solutions.
  • Five Star Fans: Fan support platform for collegiate athlete recruiting.
  • Gentle: Neurotech device for alleviating depression.
  • Hansel Medical: Surgical tray tracking and loss prevention.
  • Karneyium: Enhancing diversity and efficiency in clinical trial patient recruitment.
  • Kazadi Enterprises: Innovative dehumidification technology harnessing ambient heat.
  • SoFiiT: Mental health solution for universities

AI-MD was among an exclusive group of companies selected for investment by the techstars program while building the critical infrastructure for our global enterprise.  We want to give thanks to the support of Shereen Agrawal, Executive Director for the Center of Software Innovation at Ohio State, and Ratmir Timashev, whose founding gift established the Center’s vision. Their partnership has had a profound impact in identifying companies to participate in techstars and crafting a program that leverages the best Ohio State has to offer founders like ours.

The team bonded during an executive retreat to Hocking Hills, OH with the techstars leadership and other founders where we enjoyed sharing founder stories, playing poker, hiking, cooking and even a hot tub!

Techstars Demo Day 2024

Emma Tolsodrf delivers an empowering pitch for AI-MD

The Techstars program culminated in an incredible Demo Day where each Founder presented their business concept to the business, startup and tech community of Columbus.  AI-MD had a table, popup banner and celebrated the achievements of our team, as CEO Emma Tolsdorf presented an amazing interactive presentation.  She was joined by our advisor Jon Queen, who led the AI-MD ‘Q&A’, exploring deeper insights on AI Health.
