(“AI-MD,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information in connection with the use of our web and mobile applications, including the AI-MD online symptom checker and related services (collectively, the “App”).
We recognize the sensitivity of personal health information and are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with applicable laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Policy.
The App is intended solely for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from individuals under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately so we may delete such information.

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no electronic system is 100% secure. AI-MD expressly disclaims liability for unauthorized access, hacking, breaches, or events beyond its reasonable control.
Where required by law, we will notify affected individuals and regulators of any personal data breach without undue delay.

Requests must be verified to confirm identity and will be responded to within legally mandated timeframes (e.g., 30 days under GDPR, 45 days under CCPA).
The App may contain links to third-party sites or services. AI-MD is not responsible for their privacy practices, and this Policy does not apply to third-party platforms.
If and where AI-MD acts as a HIPAA “business associate,” personal health information (PHI) will be handled in accordance with HIPAA requirements, including execution of Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with covered entities and adherence to the “minimum necessary” rule.
No Warranties: The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
By using the App, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI-MD, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the App or violation of this Policy.
This Policy shall be governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising under or relating to this Policy shall be resolved by binding arbitration before the ADR Institute of Canada (or equivalent body), and judgment upon the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive the right to participate in any class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against AI-MD.
We reserve the right to amend this Policy at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-App notice. Continued use of the App after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
